Far Off Place

Pinned Image
Before motherhood, this was the time of year my husband and I would usually book a vacation for the spring. Life has changed significantly in the last year and a half, and it will probably be a while before we can think to escape to some beautiful place. For now it's daydreams only...

Tickets to Florence

Pinned Image
A few nights ago I received a most excellent surprise from my husband.  I had been having a bit of a grueling day, cleaning for 6 hours for the 1st birthday party we were hosting for our daughter.  My husband was acting a bit cheeky when he got home from work, being all mysterious, going straight to the computer...unusual since he always beelines straight to our baby girl.

He tried to get me to wait around to see what he was up to, but I was desperate for a long shower.  Well, when I got out, he handed me printed out tickets.  I thought to myself, "oh please don't let these be basketball tickets" which was then immediately followed by "maybe Cats in is town".

I almost went into shock when I saw Florence & The Machine staring up at me. My hubby had been thoughtful enough to buy tickets when he heard they would be in Toronto in August,
waiting for the moment they would go on sale.

It was one of the sweetest things he has done in quite a while. I'm so excited for this concert.
Florence & The Machine has became one of my favourites over the last few years.  Songs such as The Dog Days Are Over, Cosmic Love, Blinding, Heavy In Your Arms, Only If For A Night, Shake It Off, My Best Dress and 7 Devils, becoming regular hits on my Ipod.

I have been able to mark Heart, Stone Temple Pilots and Nine Inch Nails off my concert checklist...now Florence & The Machine!  If only I could add Tori Amos and Radiohead in there
and my life would be complete;)

Chapter One

It seems I've found myself with another blog!  I may be getting in over my head, seeing as how I sometimes have trouble keeping up with my first blog Closet Of An Eclectic Gypsy.  Thing is, I created a definite theme of fashion, decor and other pretty little things with my "Closet" blog, leaving me without a place to talk about my other interests...or even just vent about my day.  So hence, this blog just sort of manifested.  If fashion is your flavour, come visit me at Closet Of An Eclectic Gypsy.  If books, music, poetry, crystals, numerology and faeries are more your style...
then you've come to the right place.
